CRASH RECOVERY FAILS WITH ERROR IN SQLDUPDATETDIRTCB
product: | |
DB2 FOR LUW / DB2FORLUW / 970 - DB2
Problem description: | |
The problem that there is a missing lifeLSN check in the sqldUpdateTdirTcb. In this scenario, we are replaying a pending list log record for a table that was later dropped and recreated. Prior to version 9.7, we fix the page 0 and can infer from the page LSN that we don't need to apply the pending list log record. But for tablespaces created in 9.7, we may not always be able to fix page 0 in recovery because the update to EMP page is not always flushed and we can get SQLB_EMP_MAP_INFO_END back. So the lifeLSN check is needed here before we fix page 0.
