DB2 - Problem description

Problem IC67882 Status: Closed

No objects in Server Exporer in Visual Studio 2005 and 2008 when using the
DB2 ODBCor JDBC type 2 driver CLI layer.

Problem description:
When using Visual Studio 2005 or Visual Studio 2008, no objects 
will be displayed in the Server Explorer for the following 
objects:    Tables, views, procedures and functions folders 
 
This happens only when using Visual Studio with the ODBC driver 
or the JDBC driver type 2 connection.

Local Fix:
To workaround this issue: 
 
Step 1. Add the following two key words to your db2cli.ini file 
under either [COMMON] or [DSN] section: 
 
RetCatalogAsCurrServer=1 
UseSchemaQueries=1 
 
Step 2. Restart Visual Studio.
