DB2PREREQCHECK FAILS WITH SEGMENTATION FAULT IN LINUX

Problem description:
When running db2prereqcheck by itself or by the db2_install it 
fails with this message: 
 
errno is /usr/lib/libstdc++.so.6: wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS32 
glibc located at 
/opt/net/r/dba/prod/ibmdb2/software/incr/ds/9.7.0 
/x86_64.linux.2.6.glibc.2.5/ese/disk1/db2/linuxamd64/bin/db2prer
