DB2 - Problem description

Problem IC68580 Status: Closed

AFTER INSTALLING A FIXPACK AS NON-ROOT ALL FILES UNDER
~/SQLLIB/ADM HAVE WRONG PERMISSIONS

product:
DB2 FOR LUW / DB2FORLUW / 970 - DB2
Problem description:
When you run db2start or db2stop or other tools under
~/sqllib/adm you receive the following error:

$ db2start
-bash: /home/db2inst11/sqllib/adm/db2start: Permission denied

The error is caused by wrong filesystem permissions on all files
under ~/sql/adm
For example these files do not have the execute bit set:

-r--r--r--  1 db2inst1 db2inst   69205 Apr 19 11:33 db2start
-r--r--r--  1 db2inst1 db2inst   69430 Apr 19 11:33 db2stop

The correct settings would be:

-r-sr-s--x  1 db2inst1 db2inst   69205 Apr 19 11:33 db2start
-r-sr-s--x  1 db2inst1 db2inst   69430 Apr 19 11:33 db2stop
