DB2 - Problem description
Problem IC69083 | Status: Closed |
NO FILE SYSTEM CACHING NOT HONORED ON GPFS TABLESPACES ON CREATE
product: | |
DB2 FOR LUW / DB2FORLUW / 970 - DB2
Problem description: | |
When tablespaces are created using default options on GPFS file system on DB2 9.7, No File System Caching is supposed to be enabled, and is shown accordingly in db2look output. However, internally, DB2 still uses the file system caching. It's visible that file system caching occurs due to the increased I/O.
