DB2 - Problem description
Problem IC69373 | Status: Closed |
IN A SILENT DB2 INSTALL, LANGUAGE SUPPORT COMPONENTS FOR THE NON-ENGLISH INSTALL LANGUAGE ARE NOT INSTALLED BY DEFAULT
product: | |
DB2 FOR LUW / DB2FORLUW / 970 - DB2
Problem description: | |
When a DB2 product is installed in a non-English language in a response file based silent install, eg, 1). Install db2 on a machine where the default locale is not English. That language will be used as the install lang 2). Launch install with the -i [lang] option to specify a different install language only the English language support components will be installed by default in the silent install, unless the keyword LANG=[installLang] is specified in the response file for the non-English install language. This behavior is not consistent with the GUI install, where the install language and English are chosen to be installed by default.
