DB2 - Problem description
Problem IC69438 | Status: Closed |
"DB2 LIST UTILITIES SHOW DETAIL" DISPLAYS WRONG ESTIMATE OF "TOT AL WORK" DURING BACKUP, WHEN TABLE AND INDEX COMPRESSION IS USED
product: | |
DB2 FOR LUW / DB2FORLUW / 970 - DB2
Problem description: | |
The problem manifests itself only on the DMS tablespaces with a high High Water Mark value , but a low "usedPages" value. Under such circumstances the performance monitor sees a spike at the moment when the backup process is completing reading a DMS tablespace. Therefore "db2 list utilities show detail" tends to display a wrong estimate of "Total Work" during backup, in cases where table and index compression is done.
