DB2 - Problem description

Problem IC69574 Status: Closed

DB2IPRUNE PRUNES THE SOURCE IMAGE WHEN THE OUTPUT PATH CONTAINS THE
'-' CHARACTER

product:
DB2 FOR LUW / DB2FORLUW / 970 - DB2
Problem description:
If db2iprune is used to specify an output path which contains
the '-' character, the installer will attempt to prune the
source image, instead of creating a newly pruned image in the
path specified by -o.

e.g.

db2iprune -r /tmp/db2ese.prn -o /home/db2inst-1

The above command will attempt to prune the image that contains
the db2iprune tool.

You can verify this by viewing the log file to see which path is
shown for the "Target directory".
