DB2 - Problem description

Problem IC69691 Status: Closed

ERROR SQL0954C DOING CLI LOAD OF LOB OR LONG COLUMNS BECAUSE OF HIGH
APPLICATION HEAP MEMORY USAGE.

Problem description:
When doing a CLI LOAD of columns of LONG or LOB data types, 
application heap memory usage grows so that you might get error: 
 SQL0954C Not enough storage is available in the application 
heap to process the statement. 
 
If you get the error, db2diag.log contains an entry like this:

Problem was first fixed in Version 9.7 Fix Pack 4
Workaround
As a workaround, set the database configuration parameter
