DB2 - Problem description
Problem IC70374 | Status: Closed |
WLM on 9.7 Fix Pack 2 fails to change the agent priority. Linux only
product: | |
DB2 FOR LUW / DB2FORLUW / 970 - DB2
Problem description: | |
Workload Manager (WLM) on 9.7 fix Pack 2 does not work properly. It fails to change the priority of db2 agent threads. Note that this problem exists on Linux platform only. All other platforms work correctly. Also, note that this problem exists in fix Pack 2 only. All other fix packs of 9.7 do not have this problem. All other releases don't have it, either. Changing the priority of an agent gets changed at DB2 level. We can confirm it with "db2pd -agents" output. However, it is not reflcted at Operating System Level. "ps-lLfp <PID of db2sysc>" does not show the change. After applying the APAR fix, both "db2pd -agents" and "ps -lLfp" show the change and WLM will behave properly. Everyone using WLM on Linux platform must apply the fix
