INSTANCE MAY ABEND INTERMITTENTLY COMPILING A QUERY THAT REFERENCES
XML SCALAR FUNCTIONS

Problem description:
Usage of XML-type scalar functions, e.g., XMLELEMENT, may cause 
the instance to abend intermittently during query compilation. 
The query being compiled must not be updatable.
