DB2 - Problem description
Problem IC71000 | Status: Closed |
VARIOUS ISSUES WITH CONSISTENCY AMONG ESE (INCLUDING INSTANCE-BASED CLIENTS), DS-DRIVER AND CLI-DRIVER
product: | |
DB2 CONNECT / DB2CONNCT / 970 - DB2
Problem description: | |
There are various issues seen with DS-Driver, CLI driver like the inconsistency in the file permissions compared to the ESE, the location of files and the number of bytes. for e.g: adm: total 1360 (in SQLLIB/ESE this is r-sr-s--x) -r-xr-xr-x 1 USER GROUP 1325135 DATE TIME db2trc(in CLIDRIVER) {SQLLIB/ESE/CLIDRIVER} v/s DSDRIVER lib: in DSDRIVER (these are REAL files instead of links!): -rwxr-xr-x 1 USER GROUP 5639643 DATE TIME libDB2xml4c.so -rwxr-xr-x 1 USER GROUP 5639643 DATE TIME libDB2xml4c.so.57 There are also certain license files (odbc_LI_*) that should not be present for dsdriver packages as the dsdriver package already has the file available under dsdriver/license/*/* (where dsdriver directory is created upon uncompress+untar the image of DS-driver package.).
