DB2 - Problem description

PRIVILEGES MIGHT NOT BE PICKED UP IF THEY ARE GRANTED TO A ROLE

Problem description:
Privileges granted to a role might not be recognized if: 
 
1) If a user belonging to a group, and the role is granted to 
the group, and the name for the group and the role are the same. 
 
2) If a user directly belongs to a role, and the user name and 
the role name are the same. 
 
As a result, the user might get SQL0551N error when issuing SQL 
statements. 
 
SQL0551N  "JOHN" does not have the required authorization or 
privilege to perform operation "SELECT" on object 
"MYSCHEMA.MYTABLE". SQLSTATE=42501
