Problem IC71684 | Status: Closed |
CRASH OCCURS ON UPGRADED DATABASE WHEN VIEWS QUERY COLUMNS CASTED TO LOB TYPES.
product: | |
DB2 FOR LUW / DB2FORLUW / 970 - DB2
Problem description: | |
Crash may occur when views query columns which have been casted to LOB types, after upgrading to v9.7. i.e ALL views that have the LOB type column "derived" by using the cast function on a varchar column. Upgrade logic is responsible for not preserving appropriate internal values, that can lead to under allocated memory, resulting in memory overwrites.
