DB2 Version 9.7 Fix Pack 4 for Linux, UNIX, and Windows
Solution | |
Customer should upgrade to v9.7 FP4 or later FP which contains the fix for the above mentioned problem. The following is applicable only for SJIS database and for the searches that are used on double byte special characters. An environment variable is introduced which needs to be manually set/unset depending on the conversion table in use. If default conversion table is used , set the following environment variable before creating the index . export NSE_SJIS_USE_IBM_UCODE= TRUE db2set DB2ENVLIST=NSE_SJIS_USE_IBM_UCODE Restart DB2/NSE This helps in converting the characters in SJIS format to UNICODE according to IBM conversion table during update index process. The variable should be unset while Microsoft conversion table is in use.
