If customer using combination of remote connect (from different box) and local connect (from the same box) and the db is cataloged using the TCP/IP loopback and similar to the following: System Database Directory Number of entries in the directory = 2 Database 1 entry: Database alias = IANDB1 Database name = IANORG Node name = LOOPBK Database release level = c.00 Comment = Directory entry type = Remote Catalog database partition number = -1 Alternate server hostname = Alternate server port number = Database 2 entry: Database alias = IANORG Database name = IANDB1 Local database directory = /home/ikhono Database release level = c.00 Comment = Directory entry type = Indirect Catalog database partition number = 0 Alternate server hostname = Alternate server port number = Node Directory Number of entries in the directory = 1 Node 1 entry: Node name = LOOPBK Comment = Directory entry type = LOCAL Protocol = TCPIP Hostname = 127.0.0.1 Service name = xikhono ==> db2 engine could trap. --------------------------------------- | |
