DB2 - Problem description
Problem IC72527 | Status: Closed |
DB2CLI REGISTERDSN ADD COMMAND IS NOT REGISTERING DATA SOURCES FROM THE DB2DSDRIVER.CFG FOR INSTANCE BASED CLIENTS
product: | |
DB2 CONNECT / DB2CONNCT / 970 - DB2
Problem description: | |
DB2 v9.7 FP3 supports the db2dsdriver.cfg file for instance based clients. This includes the IBM Data Server Client and IBM Data Server Runtime Client. The "db2cli registerdsn -add" command is still currently only working with the IBM Data Server Driver, and so data sources are not automatically being registered on Windows from the db2dsdriver.cfg file for instance based clients. That same command however does work with the db2cli.ini file for either instance based clients or the IBM Data Server Driver.
