Problem IC72558 | Status: Closed |
DB2PD ABEND IN DPF ENVIRONMENT IF HOSTNAME IN DB2NODES.CFG FILE IS NOT LOCAL
product: | |
DB2 FOR LUW / DB2FORLUW / 970 - DB2
Problem description: | |
When running DPF ( even with one single partition ), db2pd will verify if the hostname found in the db2nodes.cfg file is local or remote. If the hostname is remote ( which should not really happen as the hostname is meant to be local ) Then db2pd can abend and create a core file. This is due to a problem in the error code path. This apar will fix this error code path and avoid the core dump.
