DB2 - Problem description

Problem IC72579 Status: Closed

GRANT_ADMIN_AUTHORITIES CAN FAIL, WHEN USER DOES ALREADY HAVE DATABASE
LEVEL AUTHORTIES GRANTED BY SYSIBM

product:
DB2 FOR LUW / DB2FORLUW / 970 - DB2
Problem description:
Starting with DB2 V97 Fix Pack 2 when

DB2_RESTORE_GRANT_ADMIN_AUTHORITIES is set to ON, the
following authorities are granted to the user doing the restore:
SECADM, DBADM, DATAACCESS, and ACCESSCTRL

Until DB2 V97 Fix Pack 4 this operation will fail, when the user
doing
the restore, does already have some database level authorities
granted by SYSIBM.

Local Fix:
Grant SECADM, DBADM, DATAACCESS, and ACCESSCTRL manually to the
user that performed the restore.
Will have to login with user that has SECADM authority on the
database already to issue this grant.
