product: | |
DB2 FOR LUW / DB2FORLUW / 970 - DB2

When performing ALTER TABLE...DETACH PARTITION on a range partition table with index(es), the COMPRESSION property for the index(es) is not propagated properly to the new table (the detached partition). Local Fix:
After the DETACH completes, run ALTER INDEX <index-name> COMPRESS <yes/no> to correct the compression property of the index. Then, initiate an index reorganization via the REORG INDEXES ALL FOR TABLE <table-name> command on the newly detached table.
