DB2 - Problem description

Problem IC72908 Status: Closed

LOGGER SCALABILITY (ROLLFORWARD AND CRASH RECOVERY) MAY CAUSE PROBLEMS ON
DPF MLN ENVIRONMENTS

product:
DB2 FOR LUW / DB2FORLUW / 950 - DB2
Problem description:
Usually DB2 will create the same number of redo workers as the
number of cpu's on the machine. For example, if your machine
has 4 CPUs, DB2 will create 4 redo workers for rollforward or
crash recovery. This can cause a problem in a DPF MLN
environment. For example, if you have 3 nodes and do a
rollforward on all 3 nodes, you may end up with 12 redo workers
which could cause performance degradation.
