INCORRECT COLUMN HEADERS IN DB2PD -TRANSACTIONS OUTPUT
product: | |
DB2 FOR LUW / DB2FORLUW / 970 - DB2
Problem description: | |
In db2pd -transactions output, the column for LogSpace and SpaceReserved are described & displayed incorrectly. For example: AppHandl TranHdl Locks Firstlsn Lastlsn LogSpace SpaceReserved 84 24 29 0x000000000909CD4A 0x000000000909E61C 7304 13711 They are described in the documentation as follows: LogSpace The amount of log space that is reserved for the transaction. SpaceReserved The total log space that is reserved for the transaction, including the used space and all compensation records. The titles of the LogSpace and SpaceReserved columns do not match with their the descriptions -- they should be switched. Output from db2pd is displayed correctly according to the descriptions but not the titles. For instance, the value of 7304 actually represents the reserved space -- who's description currently matches what we describe for LogSpace. Also, the description for LogSpace and SpaceReserved will be updated on Info Center as follow: SpaceReserved The amount of log space that is reserved for the transaction. LogSpace The total log space that is required for the transaction, including the used space and the reserved space for compensation log records.
