DB2 - Problem description
Problem IC73958 | Status: Closed |
HIGH MEMORY USAGE IN THREADED DB2FMP (C) PROCESS TRIGGERED BY SNAPSHOT FUNCTIONS AND VIEWS
product: | |
DB2 FOR LUW / DB2FORLUW / 970 - DB2
Problem description: | |
Snapshot table functions and snapshot administrative views can trigger a high memory usage in the threaded db2fmp (C) process. The consumed memory will not be given back to the OS during the lifetime of the threaded db2fmp process. This APAR will change the behavior of snapshot functions and return the memory, allocated during snapshot processing, back to the OS. This will reduce the overall memory address space usage of the threaded db2fmp (C) process.
