Problem description:
The table EXPLAIN_OBJECT contains a column DISTINCT.  The 
excerpt below from the manual SQL Ref Vol 1 appendix I states: 
that it may contain the values "Y" or "N" 
 
DISTINCT CHAR(1) No No Indicates whether the rows in the object 
are distinct (that is, whether there are duplicates). 
 
Possible values are: 
Y Yes 
N No 
 
In some cases of special objects, it can contain 0x00. 
 
db2 => select  object_name, object_type, hex(xj.distinct) 
db2 (cont.) => from explain_object xj where distinct <> 'Y' and 
distinct <> 'N'
