DB2 - Problem description

Problem IC74800 Status: Closed

INCORRECT STORAGE PATH INFORMATION USED/REPORTED FOR JUNCTION (MOUNT)POINT
STORAGE PATHS

product:
DB2 FOR LUW / DB2FORLUW / 950 - DB2
Problem description:
On Windows, when specifying storage paths in DB2, if a storage
path contains a junction (mount) point, DB2 will end up
obtaining incorrect information about the mounted storage path
(e.g. incorrect filesystem ID, incorrect storage free space).
This can result in incorrect storage path information being
reported in database snapshots taken against databases
containing such storage paths. The problem stems from how DB2
gathers this information internally.

This issue can also be seen when attempting to restore the
database using the ON clause to define the automatic storage
paths.
The restore can fail with SQLO_DISK in routine/functions
sqlbASDefineContainersForDMS & sqlbRestoreASContainers.
