PROBLEMS DURING DSN CREATION AND REGISTRATION
product: | |
DB2 CONNECT / DB2CONNCT / 970 - DB2
Problem description: | |
On Windows 64 bits, - if you are using IBM Data Server Client, db2cli.exe and db2cli32.exe are installed in %DB2PATH%\samples\cli. - if you are using IBM Data Server Runtime Client, db2cli.exe and db2cli32.exe are not provided with the product and hence you could not register your dsn by using the registerdsn option of db2cli.exe and db2cli32.exe for your catalogued databases. On Windows 32 and 64 bits, db2cli.ini is not updated when you create a user DSN with the ODBC Data source administrator or with the db2 catalog user odbc data source command. During the test connection, you may get this error : "SQL1013N The database alias name or database name " " could not be found'." or "SQL1531N The database alias "" could not be found in the db2dsdriver.cfg configuration file."
