AES FAILS ON JCC DUE TO GATEWAY SENDING THE INCORRECT INFORMATION |

| Problem description: |
The following error message is returned to the application from
the JCC driver and viewed on the screen:
"Connection authorization failure occurred. Reason: Encryption
Algorithm is not supported. ERRORCODE=-4214"
This message is receveived because the TCP/IP connection is lost
on the DB2 Connect gateway system. This connection issue causes
the DB2 Connect gateway to send back a request to reestablish
the
connection, however it does so with an incorrect encryption
algorithm that is stored in the DB2 Connect buffer. This causes
the connection to
fully fail and send the -4214 error message back to the
application.
The error message is defined in the DB2 9.5 Information Center.
This APAR will fix DB2 Connect so that the Advanced Encryption
Standard (AES) algorithm will be returned correctly to the
database server. |
