product: | |
DB2 FOR LUW / DB2FORLUW / 970 - DB2
Problem description: | |
Starting with DB2 V97 Fix Pack 2 through DB2 V97 Fix Pack 4 the following scenario fails the backup operation and does not respect the DB2_RESTORE_GRANT_ADMIN_AUTHORITIES setting. Start of scenario: db2set DB2_WORKLOAD=SAP or db2set DB2_RESTORE_GRANT_ADMIN_AUTHORITIES=ON backup db; restore db; backup db; End of scenario The first connect after a restore operation will issue a grant to the authid that performed the restore, which translates into writing a log record. This is not be allowed during backup. In this case the first connect after a restore operation originates from the backup command.
