CALL TO AUTHZINITIALIZERESOURCEMANAGER WITH IMPERSONATION THROWS ACCESS DENIED ERROR.
product: | |
DB2 FOR LUW / DB2FORLUW / 970 - DB2
Problem description: | |
The purpose of the flag AUTHZ_RM_FLAG_INITIALIZE_UNDER_IMPERSONATION is to allow AuthzInitializeResourceManager to work while impersonation is in effect. Without it, if someone calls AuthzInitializeResourceManager while impersonating, they'll be met with the access denied error. db2diag.log file shows: 2010-12-30-09.13.05.824000+060 E1373H403 LEVEL: Error (OS) PID : 1972 TID : 2964 PROC : w3wp.exe INSTANCE: DB2 NODE : 000 EDUID : 2964 FUNCTION: DB2 UDB, oper system services, sqloAuthzInitializeResourceManager, probe:10 MESSAGE : ZRC=0x83000005=-2097151995 CALLED : OS, -, AuthzInitializeResourceManager OSERR : 5 "Access is denied" Notes: 1) This affects the Windows platform, only. 2) This fix is to be applied to where the application is run. It would not be applied to a DB2 server unless the application is running local to the DB2 server. 3) It only affects applications that do impersonation.
