DB2TOP EXITS WITH ERROR "FUNCTION NOT IMPLEMENTED (NG_MINIMIZE)" |

| Problem description: |
db2top exits with error "Function not implemented (ng_minimize)"
The function returned in the error message is not restricted to
(ng_minimize) alone. It can return any function. Other functions
such as (smcr_procattr) and (_erecv) were also found to be
returned by db2top. This problem is due to the incorrect way
that db2top executable uses to error check the system call.
This APAR will address the way db2top handles the error when
obtaining symbol address from loaded library, so that db2top can
handle the error ( if any ) more gracefully. |
