DB2 - Problem description

Problem IC77697 Status: Closed

FURTHER PERFORMANCE IMPROVEMENTS TO VS.NET ENTITY DATA MODEL TO EXPLOIT
OPTIMIZER CHANGES FOR DB2 FOR LUW SERVERS.

product:
DB2 FOR LUW / DB2FORLUW / 970 - DB2
Problem description:
This is an extension of APAR# IC77367 which improved the
performance of the Microsoft Visual Studio .NET Entity Data
Model Wizard when connecting to DB2 for Linux, Unix, Windows
(LUW) or for DB2 for z/OS.

This APAR is added to further improve the performance against
DB2 for LUW servers, specifically DB2 v9.1 FP10, DB2 v9.5 FP4
and DB2 v9.7 GA but modifying the generated query so that it
exploits an added internal optimizer change on those servers.

This should help improve the performance radically against these
kinds of servers.
