DB2_INSTALL SCRIPT FAILS TO INSTALL SA MP BASE COMPONENT IF THERE IS '-' (DASH) IN THE FULL PATH TO THE INSTALLATION FILES |

| Problem description: |
DB2 installation using db2_install script fails to install IBM
Tivoli System Automation for Multiplatforms Base Component if
there is '-' (dash) character in full path to the installation
files.
The following message exists in the installation log file:
The DB2 installer could not find the IBM Tivoli System
Automation for Multiplatforms Base Component (SA MP Base
Component) on the DB2 install media. The SA MP Base Component
should be located at db2/<platform>/tsamp sub directory under
the top directory of the DB2 install media. If you want to use
the SA MP Base Component with the DB2 HA feature, see the SA MP
Base Compoenent Installation and Configuration Guide for
information about how to manually install the SA MP Base
Component. |
