DB2 - Problem description

Problem IC78175 Status: Closed

DB2 INSTALL AND DB2SWTCH OVERRIDE CSDK INFORMIX .NET PROVIDER IN THE GAC

product:
DB2 FOR LUW / DB2FORLUW / 970 - DB2
Problem description:
The installation of a default DB2 copy and/or the switching of a
default DB2 copy with the db2swtch.exe tool deploy the Informix
.Net Provider (IBM.Data.Informix.dll) packaged in the DB2
product into GAC, even the IBM.Data.Informix.dll .NET provider
installed with CSDK was already in the GAC.
Although the Informix .Net providers from DB2 and CSDK can
co-exist in the GAC, since the file version of the
IBM.Data.Informix.dll packaged in DB2 is higher (which uses the
DB2's version level), it breaks the installed IDS CSDK product.
Thus, this is not the desired behavior.
