If you run db2ckupgrade as root from the DB2 media, e.g.
ese/db2/linuxamd64/utilities/db2ckupgrade/bin/db2ckupgrade
the output contains an extra message
"ese/db2/linuxamd64/utilities/db2ckupgrade/bin/db2ckupgrade:
line 294: DB2INSTLOG: parameter null or not set"
# ./db2ckupgrade
DBI1051E You cannot execute this program as root.
Explanation:
This program can only be run under a non-root user ID.
User response:
Login as an user ID other than root, and issue the command
again.
