Problem IC78533 | Status: Closed |
Small memory leak in database heap in pureScale environment when performing DDL or bufferpool/tablespace monitoring
product: | |
DB2 FOR LUW / DB2FORLUW / 980 - DB2
Problem description: | |
In a pureScale environment, a small amount of memory is leaked in the database heap when performing DDL and potentially during tablespace/bufferpool monitoring. Symptoms are typical of a slow memory leak. Eventually system memory may become overcommitted causing paging and performance degradation. "db2pd -db <db> -memb 2" will show growing memory allocations as follows (note high TotalCount): Memory blocks sorted by size for dbh pool: PoolID PoolName TotalSize(Bytes) TotalCount LOC File ... 2 dbh 63788624 209831 441 1084776599
