DB2 - Problem description

Problem IC78684 Status: Closed

SQL4717N REASON CODE 5 WHEN DROPPING A SERVICE CLASS ON WORKLOAD MANAGER
(WLM)

product:
DB2 FOR LUW / DB2FORLUW / 970 - DB2
Problem description:
Users may hit SQL4717N Reason Code 5 when dropping a Service
Class on Workload Manager (WLM) as per the following example:

$ db2 "drop service class SUP_TEST_DFLT"

DB21034E The command was processed as an SQL statement because
it was not a valid Command Line Processor command. During SQL
processing it returned:

SQL4717N The service class "SUP_TEST_DFLT" cannot be dropped
because it has subclasses, associated workloads, work action
sets, work actions, connections, activities, or thresholds or is
not disabled, or is a default service class.

Reason code = "5". SQLSTATE=5U031

The condition to hit this issue is an autonomous routine mapped
to user defined subclass and it's caused due to a incorrect
Service Class reference counter.
