Problem IC79645 | Status: Closed |
REDISTRIBUTE CAN INCORRECTLY UPDATE CATALOG TABLES ABOUT DATABASE PARTITION GROUPS ADDED BUT NOT IN USE
product: | |
DB2 FOR LUW / DB2FORLUW / 970 - DB2
Problem description: | |
When redistributing using a target map the redistribute command can incorrectly update the SYSCAT.DBPARTITIONGROUPDEF view. This problem only affects redistribute with a target partition map. Redistribute marks any database partitions which are added but not in use and not in the target partition map as in use after the redistribute command finishes, even though no data is moved to these database partitions. The IN_USE field of SYSCAT.DBPARTITIONGROUPDEF will be changed from 'A' to 'Y'.
