DB2 - Problem description
Problem IC79748 | Status: Closed |
IN RARE TIMING SCENARIOS, CLI-LOAD IN DPF MAY CAUSE TRAP WITH INFINITE RECURSION SYMPTOM.
product: | |
DB2 FOR LUW / DB2FORLUW / 950 - DB2
Problem description: | |
When a CLI-Load is invoked in a DPF environment, in rare timing scenarios a trap is possible. The symptom will show either a 'db2lpart' or 'db2lmr' EDU with infinite recursion in it's StackTrace with repeated entries from sqluCSerializableSocketTagged::iNext() and sqluCSerializableSocketTagged::iOpen(), like so: <StackTrace> -------Frame------ ------Function + Offset------ 0x090000000C790640 iOpen__29sqluCSerializableSocketTaggedFiUiT1 + 0x44 0x090000000C790498 iNext__29sqluCSerializableSocketTaggedFiT1 + 0x544 0x090000000C790A40 iOpen__29sqluCSerializableSocketTaggedFiUiT1 + 0x444 0x090000000C78DC64 iNext__23sqluCSerializableSocketFiT1 + 0x130 0x090000000C790498 iNext__29sqluCSerializableSocketTaggedFiT1 + 0x544 ........... <thousands of entries like this> ............. 0x090000000C78DC64 iNext__23sqluCSerializableSocketFiT1 + 0x130 0x090000000C790498 iNext__29sqluCSerializableSocketTaggedFiT1 + 0x544 0x090000000C790A40 iOpen__29sqluCSerializableSocketTaggedFiUiT1 + 0x444 0x090000000C78DC64 iNext__23sqluCSerializableSocketFiT1 + 0x130 0x090000000C790498 iNext__29sqluCSerializableSocketTaggedFiT1 + 0x544 0x090000000C790798 iOpen__29sqluCSerializableSocketTaggedFiUiT1 + 0x19C NOTE: The term "CLI-Load" refers to a CLI application that invokes INSERT with the SQL_ATTR_USE_LOAD_API functionality, not a CLI application that invokes the db2Load APIs to process a data file.
