DB2 - Problem description

Problem IC79988 Status: Closed

DB2LS DOES NOT RETURN EXPECTED OUTPUT FOR ROOT INSTALLATION

product:
DB2 FOR LUW / DB2FORLUW / 970 - DB2
Problem description:
Starting with DB2 V9.7 FP5 db2ls may not return the expected
output for DB2 root installations on AIX.

On AIX we have a 0 byte size global.reg file in '<INSTANCE OWNER
HOME>/sqllib/' directory for root-installations.
When db2ls is executed it is reading global.reg file from the
instance owner location instead of using '/var/db2/global.reg'.
