DB2 - Problem description

Problem IC80037 Status: Closed

QUERIES USING OUTER JOINS AND SCALAR SUBQUERY RUNS SIGNIFICANTLY SLOWER
COMPARING TO OUTER JOINS AND LOCAL PREDICATES

product:
DB2 FOR LUW / DB2FORLUW / 970 - DB2
Problem description:
When scalar subquery is used in a WHERE clause on a series of
Outer Joins, the scalar subquery is similar to a local predicate

that should be applied at the access of the table under the
Outer Joins
to early filter the rows.
