DB2 - Problem description
Problem IC80723 | Status: Closed |
RUNSTATS USING PROFILE DOES NOT USE SAMPLING ON INDEX STATISTICS COLLECTION.
product: | |
DB2 FOR LUW / DB2FORLUW / 970 - DB2
Problem description: | |
When a profile is used for runstats, then if the profile was created with "sampled" indexes , the sampling will not occur on the indexes. This can lead to slower than expected runstats execution. e.g. runstats on table db2inst1.staff for sampled detailed index db2inst1.idx1 set profile only followed by : runstats on table db2inst1.staff use profile will effectively internally execute : runstats on table db2inst1.staff for detailed index db2inst1.idx1;
