Problem Abstract: 
db2 prep may return SQL0008N. 
 
This issue occurs whenever all these conditions satisfy: 
1.There is a "typedef1" (defined in the include file "file1.h") 
, which has a "char" member in it. 
2.There is a "typedef2" (defined in the include file "file2.h") 
3.There is a "typedef3" (also defined in include file "file2.h" 
, but after defining "typedef2") , which too has a "char" member 
whose name is exactly as that of the member in "typedef1". 
4.There is a host variable declaration of "typedef2" either in 
include file "file2.h" or in the main file of application 
program
