DB2 - Problem description
Problem IC80871 | Status: Closed |
RUNSTATS DOES NOT COLLECT XML STATISTICS WHEN STATS_HEAP_SZ IS NOT BIG ENOUGH
product: | |
DB2 FOR LUW / DB2FORLUW / 970 - DB2
Problem description: | |
When stats_heap_sz is not big enough, even though it is set to be automatic, RUNSTATS will not collect XML statistics. No error will be reported to the user. However, the db2cat output for the table will not show a part of XML statistics. If db2 trace is turned on, users can see an entry like the following in the flw file: | XmlrnStatsProcessPathValueInstance entry | | XmlrnStatsAddInstanceToReservoir entry | | XmlrnStatsAddInstanceToReservoir exit | | XmlrnStatsBloomFilterCheckZValue entry | | XmlrnStatsBloomFilterCheckZValue exit | | XmlrnStatsAddInstanceToReservoir entry | | XmlrnStatsAddInstanceToReservoir exit | | XmlrnStatsAddPVInstanceToCatchAllPVBucket entry | | | XmlrnStatsPVBktFindBucket entry | | | XmlrnStatsPVBktFindBucket exit [rc = 1] <<< | | XmlrnStatsAddPVInstanceToCatchAllPVBucket exit | XmlrnStatsProcessPathValueInstance exit
