DB2 - Problem description

USING MON, MONTH, DAY, DY IN THE FORMAT STRING IN FUNCTION TO_TIMESTAMP OR
TIMESTAMP_FORMAT CAN AFFECT PERFORMANCE OF QUERY

Problem description:
Using MON, MONTH, DAY, Dy in the format string in TO_TIMESTAMP 
or TIMESTAMP_FORMAT can affect the performance of the query due 
to excessive calls to sqlnls_fmblk_callback or 
sqlnls_gmblk_callback driving the contention on the memory latch 
higher thus affecting the overall performance of the query. 
 
This issue does not happen in DB2 v95 or lower.
