DB2 - Problem description
Problem IC81327 | Status: Closed |
IN LOGRETAIN MODE, NEW LOG FILES ARE NOT CREATED IN DIO (DIRECT I/O) MODE WHICH MAY CAUSE POOR PERFORMANCE.
product: | |
DB2 FOR LUW / DB2FORLUW / 970 - DB2
Problem description: | |
When using LOGARCHMETH1 set to LOGRETAIN, new log files were not being created with Direct I/O. This can cause growth in filesystem cache during runtime, and may result in background VMM activity. Note that this behaviour persists regardless of the setting of DB2_LOGGER_NON_BUFFERED_IO.
