DB2 - Problem description
Problem IC81712 | Status: Closed |
DB2PD -REPEAT OPTION CAN NOT HANDLE MORE THAN 65535 SECONDS.
product: | |
DB2 FOR LUW / DB2FORLUW / 970 - DB2
Problem description: | |
If you try to run "db2pd" every other day by using -repeat as: $ db2pd -db sample -repeat 86400 5 -tcbstats index it wakes up 5 times a day, every 20865 seconds (about 6 hours) unexpectedly. There is an undocumented max size 65535 for -repeat option. If you specify 86400, it will wakes up every 20865 seconds, 86400 - 65535 = 20865. The fix of APAR makes it can be handled almost forever.
