DB2 - Problem description
Problem IC81849 | Status: Closed |
NOT ALL CASTOUT ENGINES ARE HELPING WITH SYNCHRONOUS CASTOUT REQUESTS
product: | |
DB2 FOR LUW / DB2FORLUW / 980 - DB2
Problem description: | |
Due to an issue in waking up castout engines, fewer castout engines than configured may end up working on a set of castout requests. In some cases, the same castout engine may get woken up repeatedly, which may result in sub-optimal performance when processing castout requests. This problem is less apparent on I/O-bound clusters where most castout engines are already busy processing I/O requests.
