Problem description: | |
Proper message is not thrown when db2cli install -cleanup -force option is used after db2cli install -cleanup option after db2cli install -cleanup option Steps: 1) Register CLI driver without using appdatapath option 2) Verify that all the folders are created in the default dir: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\IBM\DB2 3) Unregister CLI driver with the below option db2cli install -cleanup Below error is thrown: C:\ibm_data_server_driver_for_odbc_cli\clidriver\bin>db2cli install -cleanup IBM DATABASE 2 Interactive CLI Sample Program (C) COPYRIGHT International Business Machines Corp. 1993,1996 All Rights Reserved Licensed Materials - Property of IBM US Government Users Restricted Rights - Use, duplication or disclosure restricted by GSA ADP Schedule Contract with IBM Corp. The IBM Data Server Driver for ODBC and CLI unregistered successfully. The configuration files and folders are removed successfully from C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\IBM\DB2\C_ibm_data_server_driver_for_odbc_cli_clidriver Note: User-created files and sub-folders are untouched (can be removed using -force sub-option). 4) Now again run the below command to remove the directories: db2cli install -cleanup -force With this command we get the below output: C:\ibm_data_server_driver_for_odbc_cli\clidriver\bin>db2cli install -cleanup -fo rce IBM DATABASE 2 Interactive CLI Sample Program (C) COPYRIGHT International Business Machines Corp. 1993,1996 All Rights Reserved Licensed Materials - Property of IBM US Government Users Restricted Rights - Use, duplication or disclosure restricted by GSA ADP Schedule Contract with IBM Corp. Error: The install operation failed. But since the folders and sub folders are removed with this command proper message should be thrown that folders and sub folders are removed. The above error message which we get during that command gives and wrong information to user. | |
