Problem IC84165 | Status: Closed |
ALLOW TO TURN OFF SQLCODE MAPPING (LIKE NOMAP IN DCS PARAMETER STRING) FOR THE IBM DATA SERVER DRIVER FOR ODBC AND CLI
product: | |
DB2 CONNECT / DB2CONNCT / A10 - DB2
Problem description: | |
If you are using DB2 database client software that has a DCS directory you can turn off SQLCODE mapping by specifying NOMAP in the parameter string of the DCS directory. SQLCODE mapping means that some SQLCODEs that are returned by a host database server are converted to a different SQLCODE with a similar meaning on the database client. Because the IBM Data Server Driver for ODBC and CLI does not have a DCS directory it is not possible to turn off SQLCODE mapping by setting the parameter string in the DCS directory. With this APAR fix you can turn off SQLCODE mapping for the IBM Data Server for ODBC and CLI.
