DB2 - Problem description
Problem IC84559 | Status: Closed |
DB2PREREQCHECK ADD CHECK FOR LIBPAM
product: | |
DB2 FOR LUW / DB2FORLUW / A10 - DB2
Problem description: | |
This APAR adds a pre-requisite check to ensure that libpam* (Pluggable Authentication Module) has been installed on the system before DB2 is installed. This affects Linux, Oracle Solaris and HP-UX platforms. Most customers will not experience this issue because they will be running 64-bit DB2 instances which will usually have libpam* installed. Customers running 32-bit non-SQL routines are more likely to hit this issue since some operating systems such as Redhat 6.0 and higher do not install the 32-bit Pluggable Authentication Module library by default.
